Georges Hatem, President

Chairman, Chief-Executive-Officer and founder of CDS, Mr. Georges Hatem has more than 20 years of management consulting experience. Prior to establishing CDS in 1994, Mr. Hatem worked with prominent consulting firms in the West, where he actively participated in vision engineering, strategy definition, reorganization, and operations improvement projects for companies in the Gulf, the Middle-East, Europe, and the United States. His work also covered a variety of industries such as banking, insurance, construction, manufacturing, distribution, health care, and non-profit organizations.

As an expert with extensive experience across a multitude of sectors and countries, Mr. Hatem is often invited to speak about change management & family businesses, in local, regional, and international forums. Mr. Hatem holds a Master’s and a Post Master degree in Civil Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from INSEAD. He is also the Founder and President of the Philippe Hatem Foundation for a Happy Childhood.

Archbishop Emeritus Josaphat Louis Lebulu, member

Archbishop Emeritus Josaphat Louis Lebulu is the retired Archbishop of Arusha and the one who entered the initial agreement between the Archdiocese of Arusha and HCF to beginning working towards HCVT. He has been over the years the Bishop of Same, the President of Tanzania Episcopal Conference, the President of the Association of Member Episcopal Conferences of Eastern Africa (AMACEA) and the Chancellor of the Catholic University of East Africa

Dr. Alex Victor Lengeju, member

Dr. Alex Victor Lengeju is currently the Executive Director of Canaan Children’s Centre, which is fully owned by the Catholic Archdiocese of Arusha. He is a Veterinary Surgeon by training, but also holds a MA in Development Studies. He also worked for 7 years as the founding Director of SOS Children Village in Dar es Salaam Tanzania, where he was overall responsible of a program supporting 130 resident and 400 non-resident OMVCs. Rawad Habib, member

Since 2002, Rawad Habib has been involved in major building and infrastructure projects in Angola, Nigeria, Congo, Mozambique, Algeria and Cote d’Ivoire. Currently Director of Zerock Group for the area covering Central and East Africa, Rawad is putting his network and knowhow of the African market in the service of projects for underprivileged children.

Nabil Hatem, member

Nabil Hatem is an economist and econometrician, currently highly involved in public affairs in Lebanon. After having been a banker and an advisor in strategic development for major multi-national companies for many years, he used his knowledge and multi cultural experiences to become highly dedicated to contribute in relieving suffering, distressed, and underprivileged children, around the world, at the material, emotional, and spiritual levels, especially through his work with the Happy Childhood Foundation.

Karim Hatem, member

Karim Hatem is a graduate in Environmental Science from Concordia University in Montreal, with experience working as a Management Consultant since 2017. His work on research and project development focused on high impact delivery. As a member of HCV Africa since 2012, Karim has visited Tanzania several times and developed a special bond with Africa. His objective is to help create a project that can truly make a difference in the children’s lives, in Tanzania and around the world.
